MARSHALING 101

(which I have done for many years from small rallies to tens of thousands of people for global demonstrations) is about protecting the people nottelling the people where to go, when to stay, when to leave, or acting like police. People need to make sure when they become marshals they do not become repressive and punitive, but have their back to the people and their face to the police, like a parent to a child or a guard to a quarterback (whatever analogy you like). Marshals are there to protect the people to express themselves and risk arrest and can be of all abilities, ages, and races.
